How would you describe your sound in three words?
Sludge, Grunge, Slunge
Who would you label as your three biggest influences?
Aretha Franklin, Nick Rattigan, Brittany Howard
What made you want to play Bigsound?
A lot of my friends have played in the past, so I guess I’ve just had this idea in my head that hopefully I’d get to play one day too. I think it’ll be a great opportunity to make some new connections and meet and see other musicians.
What element of your music or live act are you most looking forward to sharing with the crowd at Bigsound?
I’m excited to be playing with my band and share what we’ve been working on the past few months. It’s been a lot of fun playing gigs around Sydney so bringing that to the Brisbane crowd will be cool. I’ve written a lot of new songs over the past year, so just excited to share those with everyone at Bigsound.
Who would be your dream act to open for and tour with?
Current Joys or Electrelane
What does the next three years hold for you?
I’m starting to record new stuff soon, so should have an album out in the next year or so, then hopefully some touring after that.
