Under The Radar: We ‘Worship’ Chymes

Australian pop aficionado Chymes is back in 2020 with seductive single ‘Worship’ - a dark electronic-pop anthem that sees her beguiling vocals layered over a lush production of playful pop beats. Empowering lyricism such as ‘I’m a work of art you should know your place / Just so you can taste my power’, shows us a different side to her previously more delicate and sweeter artistry.

Speaking on the track, Chymes explains, “Worship is about knowing your worth, knowing you are a work of art and that you should be respected. For me personally, it leans a little more towards inequality, but still being a bit fun and sassy. This is my “bad bitch” song that is about feeling powerful and dangerous, taking back a bit of power in life.”

Most recently, Chymes received global recognition when Jungkook, a member of the world’s biggest K-pop boyband BTS tweeted about her track ‘Dreaming’. This led her music to appear in numerous Global Viral 50 Spotify Charts. Back at home, Chymes has performed at multiple summer music festivals and her songs have had high rotation plays on Triple J Unearthed radio and secured spins on Triple J itself.

Since debuting in 2016, Chymes has captured the attention of worldwide audiences, amassing over 7 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music. Chymes is on the rise and will only continue to flourish! Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this Aussie pop sensation.
